Harvey is a broker/owner with Dickson Realty specializing in land and commercial real estate sales in Reno/Sparks. Some areas of expertise include assisting developers in the acquisition of residential, commercial, and industrial development land, the leasing of commercial office space, sales of office buildings, and consulting services for new home sales.

He is a former Real Estate Commissioner for the State of Nevada. Harvey is a member of the Reno/Sparks Association of Realtors and served on its Board of Directors. He is the recipient of multiple "Top Producer" awards from the Association.

Mr. Fennell has been active in local civic and charitable organizations; is the past President of the Sierra Nevada American Red Cross Chapter and served as Treasurer of the Reno Performing Arts Center and the Nevada Festival Ballet. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Reno and a Board Member of EDAWN. He is a former Board Member of Home Federal Bank in Reno, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Specialty Mortgage Trust Co. He is currently the president of the Reno Tahoe Open, a PGA Tour event.

Prior to 1987, Mr. Fennell was a partner in one of the world's largest accounting firms, KPMG. Mr. Fennell is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and a Certified Public Accountant. He is married to Nancy Fennell who is also a real estate broker and partner in Dickson Realty. They have one son and reside in Reno.
